Scary Experience

something weird and scary happened to us last nihgt.

we had a few friends over for the weekend.

Wow, scary situation with 2 men and 3 women involved in staying calm and quiet while looking for a successful chance to live and escape.

How the heck did you sense you needed to stay hiding while watching these 2 guys walk around, once, twice and then 3 times hunting for you and your group? Did fear paralyze all of you? Fear to stay, fear to go. How did you sense that after 3 go 'rounds, you felt it was a good time to go? Was it a collective decision?

I am asking because my first sense would have been to get the heck out of town as soon as I saw them leave the first time. And then, I would have been caught and likely dead.

When you wrote that while being quiet and hiding, the Evil Ones, walked around 3 times... That all 5 of you were able to stay calm...

If any one of you got up and left after the first time these creeps walked around, you could be all dead. Same with the second and third time.

How were all 5 of you able to make the quiet decision to leave after the Evil Ones had come around 3 times already??? Did you run out or go slinking behind bushes and trees?

How is your neighbourhood? Do you still feel safe there?

So GLAD you all made it out.

What a horrible nightmare.

My JW-Related Musical Experiences

looking back over my life, the only thing that i can say i truly enjoyed as a jw was meeting and becoming friends with a number of jws who were fine musicians and had experienced various measures of success in what used to be called the "music business.

tommy reynolds, from the vocal group hamilton, joe frank & reynolds ("don't pull your love out on me, baby" and "baby, baby, fallin' in love, i'm fallin' in love again") recruited me to play drums in his dallas circuit assembly orchestra in the 1970s.

in 1977, i became friends with legendary jazz composer/arranger/band leader benny golson, whose life story appeared in the oct. 8, 1980 awake, and who appeared opposite tom hanks in steven spielberg's "the terminal.

I found your OP a better than good read without one thought of "bragging".

Unfortunately, some JW's had a rather dull little life. Not always their fault.

Others such as yourself have a very intriging life.

You are sharing interesting facts about famous people. I would not call that bragging or name dropping. You come off as balanced and happily sharing with us, information that none of us would have ever known without you stepping up to the plate, as it were.

In search of custody hearing advice ...

i don't have kids, but i recently found that someone with kids that lives in my town is also an ex-jw.

she just happened to post on an apostafest thread on facebook for an event that i attended, saw that we lived in the same place, and i met her for the first time tonight.

pretty cool.. she has a 14 year old boy that is super smart and very articulate.

Since her smart son is only 14 years old, if I was the mom, I would lean heavily on the plea that he wants to go to College or University to study _____. At this age he wants to be involved in ______ to help him get a scholarship towards his goal of becoming ______. Instead of going to meeting and field service he wants to study and be involved in sports or whatever it is he is interested in which is opposite to what his father wants for him. He wants to volunteer at the local Red Cross Blood Bank and that is against his religions rules.

I have no idea what this 14 year old young man would be interested in but two things come to mind that the Judge will think is logical and alright and the JW father who's mind is stunted by WT control will hate it. Being interested in Political Science, and wanting to work for his Congressman or Senator at the local level and eventually the State level. Then telling the Judge that JW's are forbidden to vote or run for office and are forbidden say the Pledge of Alliance. When the National Anthem is played, JW's must sit down and not stand out of respect.

If the young man is interested in sports and tell them that the religion is against competition and that he has never been allowed to play in his neighborhood Little League games or hockey or wrestling or any type of martial arts to learn to protect himself.

JW's don't allow after school curriculum or joining any school clubs. He won't even be allowed to go to his prom or ever date unchaperoned.

If the young man is interested in studying Earth Science and tell them from their own literature that JW's believe mankind has only been alive for just over 6,000 years and that that kind of misinformation, messes with his young mind.

WT is against so called higher education. Any educated person hearing that will instantly know someone is bonkers.

I also strongly suggest, she needs an avocate for herself and her son. She needs a professional of some kind to show up in Court with her. Can she really stand up for herself and her son and be articulate and not crumble under the pressure her husband's attorney will most likely shower her with?

And dubstepped, thank you for having a heart and being a true friend and going out of your way to help some one in need.

When they talk about child sexual abuse, WT says they will never change their 2 person rule. If two people didn't see it, there is nothing to report. If the abuser does happen to apologize, the wronged party must accept this and then go home with their abuser... It is all swept under the rug.

But property damage to a BUILDING, should be promptly reported!

A little child, who's innocence is lost, who has been damaged and hurt, deflowered, paralized in fear, doesn't know who to trust, finally speaks up to be told, you must have at least 2 witnesses to this event or it didn't happen and the child is accused of being a liar.

finance is already sorted - they're waiting for me to give them my new student number so that they can start paying me.

just need to formally accept bristol's offer and sort out accommodation.. accommodation should be ok - i've been told priority is given to new students, plus i'm enrolling onto a program for a real degree as a postgraduate - i won't be studying gender studies or some crap like that.

Watchtower Corporation Hacked By It's Own IT Department

it's hard for me to think that the watchtower it department must be fully aware of wt duplicity as in they are experts in using the internet and are fully aware of what the internet is saying about their boss.. so why not hack them and make more public their utter bullshit in a humanitarian concern expressed by what ever powers he has to reduce guilt.. as the reputation of the watchtower goes south and more dirt is revealed the more likely it is for those in position of trust like watchtower it department to be forced into a very precarious position of helping a bunch of frauds and so why should it be of any surprise that some type of corrective vengeance is planed by many members of the it..

Terry, So very sorry for your loss.

I used to like a lot of people, most everybody in fact. I was a people person, caring and interested.

Several weeks ago, I decided my old friends are not going to show up here on this site.

For obituaries, I did them by the whole country by only using one key word in the search. I used Jehovah. Never less than one hundred deceased members of US KHalls show up when I did a weekly search.

Some people I have yearned to talk to, to see once again, to hug but the fickle way life really is, I have decided, I most likely will only hear of them when I read of their demise from their obituary.

How many ways can I say I hate you WT for your controlling, stupid rules. Your man made up religion that messes with human beings lives.

WT you are shameful.
